Daniela Iancu

Daniela is the Founder and President of Animal Community Talks (ACT). In 2003, she began working with animals as a Shelter Coordinator at the Cat Adoption Team. Her passion for shelter work led her to complete her Master's Degree in Community Leadership, while working as a veterinary receptionist and volunteering with several local animal welfare organizations.

Daniela developed a special interest in high-quality, progressive veterinary medicine while helping with the launch of Mt. Tabor Veterinary Care. Her experience supporting the team at Synergy Behavior Solutions sparked a passion for learning about humane animal behavior, and also led to the idea of creating a program to bring together the different facets of the animal field. She currently works as a Support Specialist at IDEXX Laboratories.

In her role as President of ACT, Daniela builds relationships with community members and speakers, organizes events, tracks program data, and manages grassroots marketing efforts.

Daniela lives with her beautiful cat Maya and her husband Geoff, who is also an ACT board member and volunteer.
